If you can get your hands on one of these, they are of very good value, especially the 'red labels' made in Nippon Gakki, Japan, prior to moving production to Tiawan. The Folk Guitar (FG) series made by Yamaha in the late 60s and 70s were extremely fine guitars modeled after Martin flatops. Trying to strum along with Wish You Were Here on it, which I've never really strummed on an acoustic before. It looks like the neck was snapped near the body at some point, but it's held together well and isn't too bad of a sounding and playing old guitar with a fair amount of wear and a couple plonky notes. It has been around the block and is a bit of a campfire beater. Picked it up as part of a guitar bundle deal recently and gave next to nothing for it. Old vintage Yamaha FG-75, tan label, don't know what year, early 70's I'm guesstimating. ![]()
